Jacob Stein was interveiwed on December 5 of 1938 by B. Hathaway. During this interveiw he was forty years old, an Ancestry- Jewish, and he was a Folklore. He was a male and was interveiwed at Union Square. Another example of a person during this time is Roe Remington, Roe Remington was interviewed in Charlston, South Carolina on march 7th, 1939 by Muriel A. Mann. She is female, and did not have an official job or a title because she worked as a housewife. Finally, Sherman Delman, who was an artist. He was a white male, German, and 75 Years Old He was interviewed by the address 3050 N St., Lincoln 5. on October 17, 1938 by George Hartman. His theology was that grasshoppers caused the great depression. He believed this because his train was help up by a hord of grasshoppers, "So thick that they greased the track and wouldn't allow the tracks to move." (memory.loc.gov) Sherman only went up to 4th grade, but was a very good artist. He claimed that, "You could go out and get a mess of quail anytime. They would hit the telegraph wire and get killed by the thousands. They would hit the wires and they would go 200 feet before they would fall dead. We could pick up at least 25 chickens almost every day that had hit the wires along the poles for a mile." (memory.loc.gov) He moved to Lincoln from Germany in 1910, and engaged in painting. Although he was not a very educated man, he knew what was going on through the great depression, and learned to deal with it. These are all examples of people during the Great Depression and although they had different lives, they all had one connection; the were born around a segregated period of time.
